Most Web browsers include a feature that allows parents to control what sites their children can visit. Learn how to setup this feature in MSN Premium using this short video courtesy of Microsoft. MSN Premium Parental Controls If you are having trouble watching the video, you can take these steps to setup parental controls: This assumes that the parent is signed into the MSN browser and that a secondary account has been created for the child. - On the navigation bar (The row of icons, such as Home and Favorites, at the top of the screen, below the menu bar and above the address bar.) , point to Safety, click the arrow , point to Parental Controls, and then click Set Parental Controls.
- In the Change parental controls for a member account section, click the child's name.
- Select an age group for your child, and then click Accept.
Notes: - You must be an account manager (The person who sets up and administers account activity for an MSN account, usually the person who pays for the service.) to set parental controls (Customizable settings that help parents to protect children from accessing inappropriate Web content. For example, parents can keep a child from communicating with a particular person, or block access to specific types of content on the Web.) on another member account.
- The changed settings take effect the next time your child signs in to MSN or checks for settings updates, or at the next periodic interval, which is set by MSN.
